What this is
Capital Allocation is a calculator and a record book. You enter your own figures and it does arithmetic on them. Using it means you accept what is on this page.
This is not financial advice
Nothing here is investment, tax, legal or financial advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Projections are arithmetic applied to assumptions you chose. They are not predictions, and a forecast that shows a number is not a promise of that number. Markets do not follow spreadsheets. Speak to a qualified adviser before acting on anything you see here.
Your figures are yours
Every number in the app is one you typed. We do not verify it against any external source, because there is no external source connected. If a share price, balance or contribution is wrong, every figure derived from it is wrong too. Checking your inputs is your responsibility.
Availability
The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable, may contain errors, and may change or be discontinued. We do not guarantee that your data will never be lost, which is why the app works fully without an account and why the erase and delete controls are yours to use.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. Do not share credentials.
- Do not attempt to access another person's data, disrupt the service, or automate abusive volumes of requests.
- We may suspend an account being used to attack the service.
Affiliate links
Some links to brokerages and financial platforms are affiliate links, and we may be paid if you open an account through one. That payment does not change what the app calculates, does not affect what we say about any platform, and no platform pays for placement or for a favourable description. The brokerages pages carry no company logos precisely so that a link is never mistaken for a partnership.
Trademarks
Company names, tickers, logos and brand colours shown in the app belong to their owners and are used only to help you identify holdings you entered. Those companies are not affiliated with, and do not endorse, Capital Allocation.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service, including investment losses, lost data or lost profits. You use your own judgement about your own money.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top will change with them, and continuing to use the service means accepting the current version.
